Off-road driving is widely regarded as the premiere outdoor adventure in the El
Paso/F
ort Bliss area.  The one critical but missing element in the growth of off-road
adventures in the El Paso & F
ort Bliss is a schedule of off-roading events.  OL'
Skool was established to give Four Wheelers a place to schedule outdoor
adventures with their fellow 4x4ers, friends and family.

We want
you  to be at the center of the El Paso/Fort Bliss Off-Road Adventure
Zone.  Imagine yourself experiencing a fun-filled and yet educational one or two-day
adventure  in off-roading with a small group of other enthusiastic 4x4'ers who share
your level of experience -- trails designed especially to meet your driving abilities
and comfort level.  What could be a better adventure for you and your friends or
family?

Rob and Duane; They are old Army buddies and started wheeling go-carts in
Kitzingen Germany in 1991. The military brought
them to Fort Bliss in 1994 as
Bradley Instructors. During
their stay in El Paso they started four wheeling in Las
Cruces NM. In the photo

featured in
an Off-Road Magazine, the photo was taken in 1995. They have since
retired from the US Army
each with over 20 years of service and now enjoy their
weekends in the back
desert country.

The OL’Skool organization believes in the old school way of life, they like to
keep the
good old days alive. They like remembering when; a hoe referred to
a tool in the garden, coke is what you drink, crack is what you do when your
cracking jokes and friends still sit around a bonfire telling stories. Here's a
little history of OL’Skool 4x4 of El Paso, Texas. OL’Skool founders Duane
Shaw and Rob Hyde have tossed around the idea of a website for several
years. Then
they took that giant leap one Saturday in April 2007. They
started the website www.olskool4x4.com  and gathered a handful of
wheelers from Fort Bliss, Texas for the purpose of going on an OL’Skool off
road (No-Road) adventure.  From that modest beginning to the present day,
OL’Skool has become one of the most diverse and active organizations in far
West Texas. It conducts on the average, one official event every month. It
could be a trail ride in the desert, a camping trip or both. It doesn’t matter
whether you’re taking your Jeep off road for the first time, or if you’re a
hardcore enthusiast trying out the latest in suspension gizmos, there’s
something for you because an OL’Skool adventure, is an adventure.
